This has come as shocker to all his fans. Mohnish Behl has decided to
opt out of Kuch To Log Kahenge. News of his exit was broken on Twitter
by the VP of Sony Television Sneha Rajani, who announced: “It is true
that Mohnish Behl is leaving KTLK due to health reasons. His doctors
have advised him rest.”
Mohnish is not known for quitting serials midway. His earlier serials Sanjeevani and Dil Mill Gaye, where he played a senior doctor , lasted for three years each and Mohnish’s association with both shows lasted till the end.
“It’s true that I am leaving the show and at this point I would like the channel to explain the reasons,” he says. On prodding for his side of the story, Mohnish says he suffers from a lower back problem. “The problem has never been acute and gets corrected after a few days’ rest. But it does keep recurring from time to time and this time because of a gruelling shooting schedule, I have not been able to take proper rest ever since I started shooting for Kuch To Log…” he says.
The lower back problem has been troubling Behl for a long time. “When I do films it is taken care of because I don’t shoot so much as I do for serials,” he explains. He admits that he is not happy about leaving the show. “I feel sad. It meant a lot to me. But then it’s not a one-man show. I don’t think my exit will have a major impact. I will be shooting till they find a way out,” he shares.
